Terms of Use — Universal TV Remote

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Universal TV Remote (the "App"), published by GameSoftGames. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. What the App Does

The App lets you control compatible smart TVs — including Roku, Samsung, LG, VIZIO, Sony, and Android TV/Google TV devices — over your local Wi-Fi network, using each manufacturer's own remote-control protocol. The App is an independent, third-party remote control. It is not made, endorsed, or affiliated with Roku Inc., Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, VIZIO Inc., Sony Corporation, or Google LLC, and all product names, logos, and brands referenced are the property of their respective owners, used only to describe compatibility.

2. Compatibility Is Not Guaranteed

Smart TV remote-control protocols vary by brand, model, and firmware version, and manufacturers can change them without notice. While the App is built to work with the TV brands it lists, we cannot guarantee that every feature will work with every TV, firmware version, or network configuration. If something doesn't work as expected, please contact us (Section 9) — but understand full compatibility with every device is not something we can promise.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the usage rules of the App Store or Google Play through which you downloaded it.

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

The App offers an optional ad-removal upgrade in two forms:

Auto-renewing monthly subscription — removes ads for as long as the subscription is active.
One-time lifetime purchase — removes ads permanently with a single payment.

Auto-renewable subscription terms Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — going to the App itself will not cancel a subscription. No part of an unused subscription period is refundable at the point of cancellation, except as required by law or by Apple's / Google's own refund policies.

All purchases are billed and processed entirely by Apple or Google, not by us directly. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment method changes are handled through your Apple ID or Google Play account, subject to their respective policies — we do not have the ability to issue refunds ourselves.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it
Use the App to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to devices or networks you don't own or have permission to control
Use the App for any unlawful purpose

6. Local Network Use

The App discovers and controls TVs by communicating directly over your local Wi-Fi network. You're responsible for the security of your own home network. We are not responsible for the security configuration of your TVs or router.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any specific TV, network, or device configuration.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GameSoftGames will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App, and delete it, at any time.
