Core Principle: We do not sell your personal data. We do not inspect personal internet browsing traffic, passwords of private personal accounts, or unencrypted message payloads passing through your Wi-Fi connections.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on which features you use, we collect the following categories of information:

3. How We Use Your Information

Display Nearby Wi-Fi Hotspots: Showing free and community Wi-Fi hotspots on interactive maps and sorted by proximity to you.
Measure Network Speed & Health: Executing download/upload bandwidth tests, ping latency diagnostics, and captive portal login detection.
Analyze Local Networks: Helping you discover devices connected to your own home or office router and assessing router security settings.
Generate Strong Credentials: Supplying cryptographic and AI-generated complex passwords for securing your own router.
Deliver Advertising: Showing banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app open advertisements via Google AdMob in the free version.
Manage Subscriptions: Unlocking ad-free Pro tools and managing subscription status.
Community Hotspot Database: Aggregating public open access points to help travelers and users locate free internet connectivity.

4. Location & Wi-Fi Scanning Disclosure

Prominent In-App & Store Disclosure:
On modern mobile operating systems (Android 8.0+ and iOS 13+), scanning for nearby Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs, BSSIDs, signal levels) programmatically reveals physical geographic location. Therefore, Android and iOS require runtime location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, or NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription) to scan Wi-Fi.

How we handle location:

Foreground Only: We only access your device location while the application is active and visible on your screen. The app does not track your location in the background when the app is closed.
Purpose: Location is solely used to query nearby open Wi-Fi networks, calculate walking/driving distances to hotspots, and center the map view on your current area.
Revocation: You can grant or revoke location access at any time via your device system settings (Settings > Apps > WiFi Connect > Permissions). If revoked, map auto-centering and Wi-Fi scanning will be limited, but offline network tools, QR tools, and speed tests will continue to function.

5. Community Hotspots & OpenStreetMap Integration

Our Free Wi-Fi feature displays hotspots from two complementary sources:

OpenStreetMap (OSM): Publicly available points of interest with verified free Wi-Fi tags fetched via public Overpass API servers under the Open Database License (ODbL).
Flutizer WiFi API & Community Database: When your device scans nearby Wi-Fi access points and identifies completely open, unencrypted public hotspots, the app may submit the hotspot name (SSID), router hardware identifier (BSSID), and geographic coordinates to the community backend database (https://wifi.api.flutizer.com/api).

Privacy Controls: We only aggregate public, unencrypted Wi-Fi networks. We never collect or upload private Wi-Fi passwords of private individuals, home networks, or personal devices. You can control or disable automatic network sharing at any time in the app settings under Share Open Networks.

6. AI Assistant & AI Password Generator

The app includes an AI-powered Wi-Fi Assistant and Password Suggestion Tool:

Queries you type into the AI Chat and network names entered into the Password Generator are transmitted over encrypted TLS connections to our server endpoints (/ai/chat, /ai/generate-passwords).
These requests are processed in real-time to return responses and are not linked to your personal identity, device IMEI, or telephone number.
Do not enter sensitive personal secrets, medical data, or financial information into the AI Chat prompt.

7. Camera & Photo Library (QR Code Scanner)

The app provides a tool to connect to Wi-Fi by scanning QR codes. To support this:

Camera Access (NSCameraUsageDescription): Used only while the camera preview scanner is open. Frames are analyzed locally in device memory to detect QR barcodes and are never recorded, saved, or uploaded.
Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): If you choose to pick an existing QR image from your gallery, the selected image is decoded locally on-device. No gallery photos are transferred to our servers.

8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

We offer optional auto-renewable premium subscriptions ("WiFi Connect Pro") that remove third-party advertisements and unlock unlimited access to advanced network diagnostics.

Payment Processing: All purchase transactions, renewals, and refunds are handled exclusively by Google Play (for Android devices) or Apple App Store (for iOS devices). We do not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment credentials.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
Management & Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via:
- Android: Google Play Store > Profile Icon > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- iOS: iPhone Settings > [Your Name / Apple ID] > Subscriptions.

9. Third-Party Services & Advertising

The app integrates industry-standard third-party SDKs to facilitate monetization, mapping, and diagnostics. Each provider maintains their own privacy policy:

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, our processing is justified under the following legal bases pursuant to Article 6 of the GDPR:

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): For accessing precise location data, accessing camera/photos, receiving notifications, and serving personalized ads or tracking via Apple ATT and Google UMP Consent Framework.
Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)): To provide the core app functionalities you request, such as speed testing, diagnostics, and Pro subscription perks.
Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): To maintain network security, combat fraud, prevent abuse of our API servers, and improve application reliability.

No Absolute Guarantee: While we implement commercial-grade administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, no digital storage or internet transmission is 100% impenetrable.

13. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information of a child has been gathered without verified parental consent, we will take immediate steps to expunge the data from our systems.
